In an age where social responsibility is no longer a “nice to have”, our client decided it is their duty to provide their customers with insights into the origin and journey of the ingredients used to make their meal.
Obtain access to the relevant and real time data, available in multiple channels, and find a secure way to display the right and reliable information to the customers, whilst respecting the data privacy of all ecosystem partners (franchises, suppliers and customers).
Our client decided to go for a PoC and start from the UX (User Experience) point of view to identify which relevant information should be displayed towards the customer and where it could be sourced from. Because of the need for maximum security, we opted for a security by design solution and to leverage “blockchain” principles in combination with their existing IT environments and a front-facing application. As a next step, advanced analytics monitoring capabilities were added.
Our client created a USP and improved their competitive position, while maintaining data privacy of all related parties along the way. They obtained a traceable, credible and secure solution that demonstrates and proves where the ingredients originate from, and the journey they make, before ending up as a delicious meal on the table of their customers.
