Every year on June 5th, the world celebrates World Environment Day, an opportunity to raise awareness and take action to protect our planet. This year, the teams at Keyrus Canada took action by participating in two clean-up activities aimed at preserving local environments.
Two actions were carried out: cleaning a park in Toronto and cleaning the streets of downtown Montreal. With over a dozen dedicated employees involved in these initiatives, we worked hand in hand to make our urban spaces cleaner and more sustainable.
Cleaning Toronto Park:
Sporting our gloves and equipped with garbage bags, our team gathered at Toronto Park with a common goal: to restore the beauty of this precious space. From plastic waste to cigarette butts, no corner was left untouched. We were impressed by the amount of litter we were able to pick up in such a short amount of time.
Working together, we realized that every little gesture counts. Every plastic bottle picked up represents an opportunity to preserve local wildlife. Every candy wrapper properly thrown into the garbage bag symbolizes a commitment to a cleaner and healthier environment for all.
Cleaning Downtown Montreal Streets:
Our Quebec team headed to the alleyways of Montreal for their cleaning project. The bustling streets of downtown were littered with trash, but that didn't deter us. Armed with tools generously provided by the Éco quartier de Ville Marie and our determination, we began to breathe life back into these streets.
By collaborating with SAESEM, we could see how important our action was. We were able to enjoy a sunny moment while contributing to an important cause.
