Build a dishes management centre to handle all product information

Background

Our client is the first enterprise that has overcome the difficulties of standardising Chinese fast food and achieving quick and active meal serving in 60 seconds, operates in a way that breaks the industry's conventions. The enterprise adheres to offering healthy fast food and is committed to building the top brand in the industry. It aims to become the first Chinese fast food enterprise in China with standardised supply channels that originate from green and pollution-free sources by carrying out quality control measures that start from raw materials.

Challenge

Decentralised and non-synchronous menu data between systems resulted in problems for restaurant owners. Inconsistent menus and prices across channels led to customer complaints. Order data could not be connected and shared between systems. The lack of product cost monitoring caused difficulties when running cost analyses. Non-synchronised data resulted in an inability to implement real-time data analyses across departments.

Approach

By using SAP Commerce Cloud platform, create a unified omnichannel centralised procurement management system to build a website for Zhongtian that satisfies the needs of partners in terms of online investments, store opening applications, online repair applications, online centralised procurement, online decorations, and other business closed-loop management needs. Implement business processes such as supplier product management, procurement order processing, and order fulfilment. Satisfy the needs of employees by implementing business operations on mobile devices, and allow employees to request repairs and procure goods, anytime and anywhere, across all business scenarios.

Key results

01
Unified the management of products and business expansion, such as multi-channel menu management, and laid a foundation for future catering expansion and Implemented a multi-class price system for identical dishes.
02
The number and variety of dishes was reduced by 93%. Originally, 20,000 dishes required maintenance, now only 1,500 dishes require maintenance on the middle office and The number of menus that require maintenance was reduced from up to 380 repetitive menus to about 80 menus on the middle office
03
The unified management of orders across all channels was enabled.

Benefits

Create a unified omnichannel product menu management system to manage menus, contents, prices, and versions on different channels, such as official mini programs, store POS systems, and third-party platforms. Integrate and implement the unified management of order data on all channels and transfer it to the BI and ERP systems for analysis. Eliminate data barriers by unifying maintenance processes in a middle office to support the rapid expansion of the front office across multiple channels.
