Our client is a hedge fund with deep alpha capture expertise in investment, data science, risk management, and portfolio construction.
Challenge
Our client is a small, dynamic team needing to pivot to various initiatives regularly. For this, they strategically decided to move to the AWS platform but needed significant help with the migration and funding. After an initial migration, the client had questions and needed guidance around the various AWS platform components.
Approach
Migrated our on-site postgres: -Dump the huge database -Executed on the weekend -Import into AWS -Build AWS side -Change of DNS -Retire old hardware Job deployments -Airflow on ECS -Dev, stage and prod deployments -Dev, stage and prod git repositories -Ease of deployment, ask a colleague to review -Centralized, but flexible deployment tooling with git side-car deployment.
