Migrating Nonprofit Financial Planning to Zoho & Snowflake

Background

Our client is a global non-profit charity organization. Our client manages financial data concerning budgeting and forecasting income from a combination of Salesforce, budgeting applications, and manual data exports. The organization planned to move away from an existing Domo instance, transferring their data ingestion processes and reporting to a combination of Snowflake and Zoho Analytics.

Challenge

The client’s Domo license was set to expire within 4 months. Before the license expires, they needed to have an ETL process replicating the transformations in Domo and their critical financial dashboard in Zoho Analytics. Their Snowflake environment was concurrently being set up during this development period. They needed a Zoho platform that supported future dashboarding, with the ability for non-technical users to be able to manage row-level security based on organization region.

Approach

Keyrus worked with the organization to establish new data pipelines between the source systems and to Zoho Analytics. Converted the complex data transformations and business logic required by the financial dashboard into SQL, avoiding Zoho’s data pipeline processed row count limits by moving processing to Snowflake. Recreated the financial dashboard with enhancements based on client feedback Created a Zoho Analytics environment for future dashboard creation with the ability to manage row level security through Snowflake.

'The work done by Keyrus resulted in the replication of critical data processing logic and reporting in a short timeframe to limit interruptions to business operations during the transition to Zoho Analytics. A new BI platform in Zoho Analytics was created, allowing the client to create new reporting and manage data availability.
