Legacy reports migrated to Power BI
Our client is a is a healthcare-technology company founded in 2001 that provides an online marketplace and software platform for sourcing medical equipment parts and repair services. It evolved from manually locating hard-to-find parts to offering a digital catalog with millions of products from thousands of suppliers. Today, it serves thousands of hospitals and clinical sites by streamlining procurement, integrating with hospital systems, and coordinating on-demand repairs. The company was acquired by private equity in 2021 to support its continued growth and expansion into broader facility-management services.
The organization had grown through mergers and acquisitions and their offerings have evolved since their inception. Their was a need within the organization to become more data driven as they dealt with hundreds of thousands of different customers with a complex catalog of services, offers, and parts. A data platform was needed to truly understand the health of their customers and services and also identify opportunities to cross-sell.
We partnered with this customer in 2022 and started with a data strategy roadmap where we assessed their goals and data challenges as an organization. From there we built a tactical plan with the ambitions of building a full data platform, consisting of an Enterprise Data Warehouse, Master Data Management, and BI self-service analytics. We operated in 8 week dev cycles and each iteration demonstrated a new capability.
The work Keyrus did created a foundational data platform that is at the center of many critical functions and applications with the organization. Enterprise Data Warehouse - centralized analytics layer that was used to support BI and MDM efforts. Also used to build and power new customer facing applications. Master Data Management - Created entities around vendors and assets, which consolidated over 1M source records across 5 disparate systems Self Service BI - The organization has a scalable BI platform where users can understand key metrics such as spend per bed
